3 11 HAPPYDEARHAPPYDEER (J002) When questioned, Y L Chung stated that his instructions were to endeavour to hold a forward position on his mount. He said when HAPPYDEARHAPPYDEER showed good pace in the early stages, he was able to continue forward to cross runners to his inside and lead. He added that the instructions issued today were consistent with previous race starts, however, on those occasions HAPPYDEARHAPPYDEER did not show sufficient pace to enable him to comply with those instructions.
4 10 NEVER PETER OUT (J200) No report.
5 1 NORTHERN BEAST (H233) Near the 1000 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from ON THE LASH.
6 14 SOARING BRONCO (J162) Jumped awkwardly.
7 6 FOREVER FOLKS (G463) Jumped only fairly.
8 9 JUBILATION (G029) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
9 13 ON THE LASH (J182) No report.
10 12 MILES AWAY (J221) Near the 1500 Metres was steadied away from HAPPYDEARHAPPYDEER (Y L Chung) which shifted in when not quite clear. Y L Chung was advised to exercise more care.
11 3 BILLIONAIRE SECRET (G303) Jumped only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the event, M Chadwick reported that his mount travelled fairly during the event but did not respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 4 DEAL COMPLETED (J378) No report.
13 5 DEVILDOM (H445) Jumped awkwardly. The performance of DEVILDOM, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DEVILDOM will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
14 7 ENSHINE (J196) Approaching the 1500 Metres raced tight between NEVER PETER OUT and DEAL COMPLETED which shifted in and away from MILES AWAY. The performance of ENSHINE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ENSHINE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
