8 5 CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471) C L Chau (-2) After the event, C L Chau reported that his mount did not appreciate racing around the Happy Valley circuit and made the Home Turn wide. He said when under pressure in the Home Straight CHATEAU LE PECHE did not respond to his riding and, in his opinion, would be better suited racing at Sha Tin. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
4 6 RUNNING AHEAD (G313) L Hewitson Shifted out on jumping and was bumped. After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on RUNNING AHEAD at the request of Trainer T P Yung. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, RUNNING AHEAD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
7 7 MISTER FOX (J059) M F Poon (-2) Bumped on jumping.
5 8 TURTLE AGAIN (H083) K C Leung Made contact with a rail leaving the Parade Ring, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the Start and passed suitable to race.
6 9 HARRY'S HERO (H332) M Chadwick After the event, M Chadwick reported that his intention was to be closer in the early stages, however, HARRY’S HERO jumped only fairly and settled further back. He said when HARRY’S HERO raced keenly, he allowed it to stride forward from the 900 Metres to avoid having to continue to restrain his mount. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

3 11 SUNNY BABY (E166) B Thompson <28/11/2024 Additional Veterinary Reports>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that SUNNY BABY was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, SUNNY BABY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

6 1 MODEST GENTLEMAN (G352) C L Chau (-2) When questioned, C L Chau stated that as the blindfold was removed prior to the start being effected, MODEST GENTLEMAN then lunged forward when the start was effected, resulting in it making contact with the front of the starting gates and losing ground. He said after being crowded shortly after MODEST GENTLEMAN settled back in the field. He further stated that near the 400 Metres he endeavoured to obtain a narrow run to the inside of CIRCUIT TEN which he anticipated would continue to shift out. He said when CIRCUIT TEN did not shift out, he was obliged to check his mount to avoid CIRCUIT TEN. He added in the Home Straight he elected to shift to the inside of SPEEDY FORTUNE to obtain clear running as he had observed that runner shift out near the 350 Metres and he felt this would provide his mount with the best opportunity to continue to improve into the event. He said after improving to the inside of SPEEDY FORTUNE, that runner then shifted in which resulted in MODEST GENTLEMAN being badly held up for clear running over the final 200 Metres when it also blundered when it struck the heels of HAPPY HORSE leaving the 150 Metres. After considering his explanation, the Stewards found the tactics adopted by Jockey Chau in the Home Straight were reasonable in the circumstances.
4 2 SPEEDY FORTUNE (H097) M F Poon (-2) Over the concluding stages lay in and was crowded between HAPPY HORSE which shifted out slightly after being bumped on the hindquarters and PLENTIFUL (A Atzeni) which shifted in. A Atzeni was advised to exercise more care. As a result, SPEEDY FORTUNE could not be fully ridden out to the finish of the event. M F Poon was warned in relation to raising his whip arm above shoulder height over the concluding stages. Sent for sampling post-race.

8 2 ESCAPE ROUTE (E273) J McDonald Shortly after the start was bumped and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the event, J McDonald stated that his mount settled back and found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight due to the early pace of the event being run outside of standard time in the early stages. He added in the circumstances he was not too disappointed with the performance of ESCAPE ROUTE. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Notwithstanding this explanation, Jockey Bowman was advised that whilst the Stewards were satisfied that his riding over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he should, wherever possible, continue to ride his mounts out to the finish.

11 7 ARTHUR'S KINGDOM (E194) A Badel After the event, A Badel stated that his instructions were to lead the event, but his mount did not show sufficient pace to do so. He said after racing outside the early leader SOLAR GOGO, ARTHUR’S KINGDOM did not respond to his riding in the Home Straight and raced in a disappointing manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of ARTHUR’S KINGDOM was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, ARTHUR’S KINGDOM will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

2 9 MANAGEMENT FOLKS (E496) Z Purton Jumped only fairly. Near the 300 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when improving to the inside of DRAGON STAR which shifted in slightly. Sent for sampling post-race.
5 10 HAKKA RADIANCE (J105) C L Chau (-2) Approaching the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of CHARITY GAIN to obtain a clear run. C L Chau was warned for raising his whip arm above shoulder height on several occasions in the Home Straight. Trainer C S Shum confirmed that his instructions to C L Chau were to ride HAKKA RADIANCE in a conservative manner in the early stages to offset the outside barrier.
12 11 SOLAR GOGO (H390) A Hamelin After the event, A Hamelin reported that from the inside barrier his instructions were to hold a forward position but not necessarily to lead. He said when his mount jumped well he was able to hold the lead without being unduly pressured to do so. He added that from the 600 Metres SOLAR GOGO came under pressure before weakening noticeably in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of SOLAR GOGO, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SOLAR GOGO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

10 4 GLORY CLOUD (H320) H Bowman When questioned, H Bowman stated that although his instructions were to ride his mount conservatively in the early stages, GLORY CLOUD was slow to begin and as a result settled at the tail of the field. He said with the early pace of the event being run inside of standard time GLORY CLOUD did not travel well and he was obliged to encourage his mount to maintain its position in the middle stages. He added after shifting GLORY CLOUD to the outside of HAPPY DAY near the 400 Metres, GLORY CLOUD finished the race off only fairly. Trainer C Fownes confirmed the instructions issued. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

2 9 TELECOM POWER (J332) K De Melo Near the 1000 Metres blundered when it struck the heels of INVINCIBLE DELIGHT (B Thompson) which was racing tight to the inside of SPEEDY SMARTIE (L Hewitson). As the Stewards were satisfied that INVINCIBLE DELIGHT had maintained a three wide position to the outside of RACINGRACE, no direct action was taken, however, both Jockeys Thompson and L Hewitson were advised, wherever possible, to ensure runners to their inside have comfortable racing room. 6 2 RED ELEGANCE (H241) M Chadwick Shifted out abruptly at the start. When questioned, M Chadwick stated that after shifting out abruptly at the start, his mount hung out across the heels of BUNTA BABY near the 600 Metres and as a result was checked and lost ground. A warning was placed on the racing manners of RED ELEGANCE. When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight, M Chadwick stated that his mount continued to lay out and proved difficult to fully test. He said as a result over the concluding stages he was unable to ride his mount out with full vigour. The Stewards advised Jockey Chadwick that, wherever possible, he should ensure that he rides his mounts out to the best of his ability. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

9 6 ALLGREEKTOME (H007) E C W Wong (-7) After the event, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that his mount hung out throughout the event and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. When questioned, Trainer D A Hayes stated that he was of the opinion that ALLGREEKTOME would perform well tonight although it had not impressed him when it barrier trialed on the All Weather surface on 19 November 2024. He said as he felt the performance of the barrier trial was due to the All Weather surface, he was of the opinion that ALLGREEKTOME would still be able to perform well tonight. He added that ALLGREEKTOME was disadvantaged by YOUTHFUL SPIRITS showing superior pace in the early stages and the early stages being run inside standard time. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. The performance of ALLGREEKTOME was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, ALLGREEKTOME will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
