6 7 HEROIC MASTER (G394) Making the turn after the 600 Metres lay out and was awkwardly placed close to HONG KONG HALL. Near the 350 Metres made contact with HEALTHY HEALTHY when that runner raced tight to the inside of HONG KONG HALL. After the event, A Atzeni stated that he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to hold his position, particularly with the race being run inside of standard time. He added in the Home Straight HEROIC MASTER finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a small wound to its right front leg.
7 4 HEALTHY HEALTHY (H203) Near the 350 Metres was bumped when racing tight to the inside of HONG KONG HALL and became unbalanced.
8 10 KING ECCELLENTE (G264) Slow to begin and shortly after the start was crowded by MAJESTIC EXPRESS which raced tight to the inside of HARMONY N BLESSED. Lay out on the Home Turn and in the Home Straight.
9 6 MAJESTIC EXPRESS (J244) Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters. After the event, A Badel stated that with the early stages of the event being run inside of standard time he was unable to cross runners to his inside and as a result MAJESTIC EXPRESS raced wide and without cover. He added in the Home Straight due to the wide run MAJESTIC EXPRESS was unable to finish the race off strongly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 11 MULTIDUTCH (K171) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
11 8 AWESOME TREASURE (E435) Trainer D A Hayes confirmed that from a wide barrier he had instructed L Hewitson to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. He said he issued such instructions as AWESOME TREASURE had been racing disappointingly when ridden in a forward position at its most recent starts. Noted to have blood in the mouth after the race.
12 9 HONG KONG HALL (G315) On jumping H T Mo became unbalanced in the saddle for a short distance.
